Is composite decking more expensive than timber decking?
Composite decking Cumbria
In the short-term, yes. The initial cost to install a timber deck on your home is cheaper than composite or Trex® decking. However, the long-term maintenance costs and time of timber decking, such as sanding, painting, sealing, etc., soon mount up. Whereas composite and Trex® require little ongoing maintenance and last much longer than timber. Therefore, saving you money long term.
